Laban immo | Lebanese meatballs in yoghurt sauce recipe

Traditional Lebanese meatballs cooked in yoghurt, mint and garlic sauce- a recipe not to be forgotten full of delicate, comforting flavors! Serve with a side of buttery vermicelli or plain rice.

Meatballs:
800g ground beef
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper
Yoghurt sauce:
1kg yoghurt
2 tbsp corn starch
~1 large tbsp dry mint
2 cloves of garlic, minced
Butter
Mix the meatball ingredients in a bowl and create medium-sized meatballs
Heat some vegetable oil in a pan and fry the meatballs; drain and set aside
In a big pot add the yoghurt and corn starch (melted in 1/2 cup of water); cook on medium heat and stir frequently
Meanwhile fry the dry mint and garlic in a generous amount of butter and add to the yoghurt mix once the yoghurt starts boiling
Keep stirring until the mixture thickens then add the meatballs and cook for a final 2-3 minutes
Enjoy with a side of vermicelli or plain rice!
